Close to the Shores of Lake Michigan

Hermit Lake is conveniently located minutes from the conveniences of Crown Point and only 25 miles south of Lake Michigan. Crown Point is an attractive location for a family, providing restaurants, stores, schools, and Franciscan Health Hospital.

Chicago is an hour’s drive away, featuring a grand list of attractions, along with facilities like O’Hare International Airport or Chicago Hospital.

Great Lake Living

Hermit Lake is a beautiful stretch of water for recreation of all sorts. Boaters have fun exploring the lake’s winding shore in kayaks, canoes, Jon boats, and other watercraft.

Access to Cedar Lake or Lake Michigan

Cedar Lake is west of the lake, offering a greater water stretch for boating, water skiing, tubing, fishing, and more. A public access point on the north end of the lake makes it easy to access the waters.

Indiana Dunes National Park on Lake Michigan is only 25 miles north of Hermit Lake. The park offers 15 miles of beach and trails and boardwalks for great views of dunes, wildlife, and seasonal flowers.

Nearby Golfing and Family-Fun

Visit Oak Knoll Golf Course or Youche Country Club to play a fun round of golf. Deep River Waterpark has water slides, pools, dining options, and games to please the whole family.
